volcanes tiñen de gris
verdes espacios de cóndores
y ciervos sin refugio temen
ver sus astas abriendo las puertas
de hombres abrigados con pluma
en sus casas de lenga y piedra
cuando la naturaleza grita
ellos limpian sus parabrisas y lloran
los escombros de la mañana

volcanoes stain gray
the greened space of condors
and deer shelterless in fear
see their own antlers over the doors
of men mantled with down
their houses of beech and stone
when nature screams
men clean their windshields and lament
the rubble of another day
