Bajé a la cueva

tanteé

sus cuatro paredes

y el techo bajo.

Me dije:

aquí no viviría

Went down the cave

felt around

the four walls

and low ceiling.

I said to myself:

wouldn't live here

I stayed

Sono sceso nella caverna
ho toccato
le sue quattro pareti
e il tetto basso.
Mi sono detto:
qui non vivrei

De verdad

sólo ahora te descubro

cuerpo

venido conmigo

tantos años.

Sólo ahora

en que al verte

en el espejo

sentado allí

mirándome a los ojos

he sabido qué buscabas.

el callado.

only now I discover you

body

that has come with me

all these years.

Only now

on seeing you

in the mirrow

sitting there

looking me in the eye

I see what you searched for.

My body

the silent.

Davvero
solo adeso ti scopro
corpo
venuto con me
tanti anni.
Solo adesso
al vederti
nello specchio
seduto lì
guardandomi negli occhi
ho saputo cosa cercavi.

Il mio corpo
il silente.
