SOLEDAD

No te quedes a mi lado 

no me tiendas las manos 

déjame ir sola 

por los caminos sinuosos 

y mirar 

los momentos cambiantes 

sola, precisamente sola. 

Déjame sopesar 

la eficacia de mi alma 

y el poder de la voluntad 

para discernir entre ignorancia 

y verdad 

para observar los diversos 

matices de luz y sombra. 

Déjame que me conozca a mí misma 

no te quedes a mi lado 

debo seguir sola.

Do not stand by me

extend no hands

let me go alone

on the meandering paths

and gaze at the

the changing moments

alone, just alone.

Let me weight the

efficacy of my soul

and will power

to discern between ignorance

and the truth

to observe the various

hues of ligth and shade.

Let me know myself

do not stand by me

I should go along.
